Angela Strohm, or Angie is one of the main supporting characters of the Pinoy Komiks strip Girly Tips - KomikSerye. She is a first-degree cousin of lead character, Abigail Matute. Angie lends the intelligent input in an otherwise wacky and senseless comic strip.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

Angela Matute Strohm was born on July 11, 1989 to Edward Anthony Strohm; a British national of Austrian descent, and Filipino Marjorie Matute. She is an only child, and was raised in a typical British household and environment in Leicester, United Kingdom.

She went to the University of Derby and earned a degree in Banking and Finance in 2011. After a brief stint with a stocks brokerage firm in London, she decided to try her luck in the Philippines. She has visited the country several times during her teens, and has stayed close to her maternal relatives. In October 2014, she blindly left the United Kingdom and moved to the Southeast to "reboot" her life and career.

Settling in was a difficult task at first. Angie can comprehend the Filipino dialect, Tagalog well. But, her ability to speak it is limited; except the profane words. She decided to live in Paranaque in order to be in the Metro, and stay in close proximity to her kin in Binan, Laguna. She currently rents an apartment unit on Sucat Road with Abby and Selina Bravo. She started working as an online tutor, mentoring mostly Korean and Japanese nationals in learning the English language. She then took up the offer to be the Communications Manager at Idlecombe Solutions.

Angie is an avid football fan, and rabidly supports Liverpool Football Club; the same club she supported when she was a young girl in Leicester. On the other hand, she hates Manchester United, and considers anyone who supports it as "the enemy." She was happy for her hometown when Leicester City Football Club were crowned champions of the 2015-16 season of the English Premier League. But she remains loyal to the Reds of Merseyside. Her IQ is very high, and she is a member of the British Mensa. Although she loathes it when people call her a genius; she doesn't appreciate being labelled.
